What is the Watch Hunt?

It’s a real-world scavenger hunt where we hide affordable watches (like Seiko, Citizen, Casio) around cities and post video clues to help you find them. If you find it—you keep it. Simple as that.

Where do the hunts take place?

Most hunts happen in York, UK (three times a week).

We also do special travel hunts in other cities throughout the year—2025 cities include Malta, Edinburgh, Las Vegas, and London.

When do hunts happen?

Regular hunts are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in York.

Clue videos are dropped randomly throughout the day on Instagram and TikTok, so keep notifications on.

How do I get the clues?

All clues are posted on our social media accounts—usually as short videos. I might show the location, give a hint, or zoom in on a detail that gives it away. Some clues are easy, some are meant to make you think.

Do I need to sign up?

Nope! No sign-ups, no payments. Just show up, follow the clues, and see if you can find it first.

What kind of watches are hidden?

Mostly affordable but solid brands—Seiko, Citizen, Casio, Timex, etc.

We try to keep it fun and fair. Sometimes it’s a classic diver, other times it’s something vintage or quirky.

How will I know if someone already found the watch?

Once a watch is found, I’ll usually post an update or share a DM/photo from the person who found it. If there’s no update, it might still be out there...

Can I take part if I'm not in York?

Yes—keep an eye out for travel drops! I’ll be doing hunts in cities like Malta (Apr 18), Edinburgh (Apr 26), Vegas (Jun 2), and London (Jul 21). All clues will still be posted online.

Is this a meet up?

No, this is not a meet up. But I do sometimes I host casual events for watch collectors. These will be announced on this page and on social media.

What if I find a watch?
